SENIOR YEAR

Senior year of high school, I experimented a lot in my advanced photography class. I created clothing pieces, screenprinted designs, and curated a general aesthetic around my projects. Midway through the course year, my school announced that they were going to hold a school flea market for students. This tied into what I was doing with my shirts, so I decided to sell my shirts at this fair and create a whole marketing campaign and aesthetic to help sell them.

PROJECT 1 CUSTOM SHIRT

For my first project, I wanted to create a shirt and try my hand at fashion photography. I recreated a favorite shirt of mine with softer material and a more minimalistic design to it.

PROJECT 2 DESIGNING A SHIRT

For my next project, I wanted to design and print my own shirt while photographing and showing the process. I created mock-ups digitally and made my screens to print my designs on my clothing.

The panda design slowly turned into this owl design because I kept trying different designs to see if I potentially had a better one. The new “SHRIEKIN” font was created to make the text on the back stand out better.

PROJECT 2 FINAL DESIGN

MOODBOARD

While creating a working screen, I tried building an aesthetic based on my design. I ended up creating these ghostly figures using shirts and utilized Photoshop to to make it look more ominous and ghost-like.

ORIGINAL PHOTOS

ADVERTISTING

The final thing that I did for this project was create ads and product photos of my shirt. I utilized photos from my mood board to act as an eye-catching image if you were to see it. The white lettering also acted as a way to jump out at the viewer.

These final three photos acted as my product shots. I had my friend wear and display the clothes in different ways before landing with this final photo. I also tried doing some more dynamic shots of the clothing and ways of displaying the pieces.
